Unhealthy obsession?

So. It would appear I have been on maternity leave for over a week.
My resolutions of spending more time on my blog haven’t quite materialised and I am yet to start watching daytime TV. Between various medical appointments, last minute shopping, coffee dates and frantic cleaning, last week has just flown by. It might be the nesting instinct or simply allowing the Monica in me to run wild, but the flat is sparkling clean – even the sheets and pillowcases have been ironed which I never, ever do and will probably never have time to do again. The babies’ room is ready, our hospital bag packed and the waiting game has now started in earnest. Time to put my feet up and indulge in the last moments of peace and quiet I will have in a long time. And as I was preparing myself for a relaxing morning on the sofa with a pile of books and a cup of steaming hot chocolate, it occurred to me how maternity obsessed I have become. Just take a look at my bedside table - 6 months ago and now ...

Let's hope I don't become one of those annoying mums that just can't shut up about their offspring!

Frantic nesting!

How exciting !

O.M.G. Make the most of your last days of peace... then it'll be -organised- chaos!
Take care of your bump xx

Repose-toi bien en attendant. Enjoy the calm before the storm.

Mo - tu as raison, le storm approche !
